How to
Take Soma Muscle Relaxants
Ask your doctor or pharmacist before
using any other medicine, including
over-the-counter medicines, vitamins,
and herbal products. - Avoid drinking
alcohol while taking soma. - Make
sure your doctor knows if you are
taking drugs that can make you sleepy
such as other muscle relaxants,
sleeping pills, tranquilizers, antidepressants,
barbiturates (Seconal®, Nembutal®),
or narcotic pain killers. - Before
taking Soma muscle relaxants, tell
your doctor if you are taking or
have taken within the past 2 weeks
an MAO inhibitor, such as Marplan®,
Parnate®, or Nardil®.

Soma Side Effects
Call your doctor right away if you
have any of these side effects:
- Trouble breathing - Fever - Severe
weakness - Changes in vision - Swelling
- Skin rash
Precautions
- If you are pregnant or breastfeeding,
talk to your doctor before taking
soma prescription muscle relaxants.
- Before taking soma, tell your
doctor if you have ever had liver
or kidney disease or porphyria.
- Soma prescription medication can
cause drowsiness or blurred vision.
Be careful when driving a car or
using machinery.
Missed
Soma Dose
- If you miss a dose of prescription
soma medication and remember
within an hour or so of the missed
dose, take the soma dose right away.
- If you do not remember until later,
skip the missed soma dose and go
back to your regular dosing schedule.
- You should not use two doses of
soma muscle relaxants at one time.
Storage
of Soma Pills
Store the prescription soma tablets
at room temperature, away from heat
or moisture. Keep soma muscle relaxants
and all other medicine out of the
reach of children.
